Continuing on with the Scott Pilgrim theme, this week we have Metric. For those who know Scott Pilgrim, Metric will be playing music for Clash at the Demonhead and it seems like a very good match up.

This song is Help I’m Alive, off of their latest album, Fantasies (I think). I love the way Emily can change her voice from low to high. If you go listen to the acoustic version, it really stands out. Its also an interesting contrast between the two version of the song, because they give off a different vibe. Its lyrically great (I think anyway). There’s just something about that need and push to be perfect, but also trying not to lose sight of who you are that just really appeals. Though I guess you can interpret it in different ways.
