So I was having a pretty shitty day yesterday. Probably caused by a lack of sleep. Because someone decided to start digging up the road outside my window at 6am. The one day of this entire week (and probably into next week) that I had to sleep in. Fuck you council. I also found out I have 4 places to be on the 13th of March. And each of them are pretty much in the opposite direction. And no one decided to put anything on the 20th March, which would’ve given me an excuse to skip out on Mini-Animania.
Anyway, that’s getting off track. So I was having a bad day and decided to go out and buy some video games. Because video games makes everything better. They also corrode the mind and turn children into violence machines made of pure malevolence designed to rape society of all that is good and holy leaving only a dark gaping pit of despair, taboo and vice. Apparently studies have found this to be fact. A true fact at that. Damn you conservatists! All I wanted was to play Taylor Swift songs! Why won’t you let me live!? Damn it! Why won’t you let me LIVE!!!??
So after buying Band Hero (and splurging on a few games that were stupidly cheap), I had to do some grocery shopping. As any good Generation Y person does, I was venting my frustration on the internet. People there understand me. People on the internet care about my feelings. So as I was walking to Woolworths, sending my twitterings to the 91 “people” (if you can call them that) that follow my twitter feed, a lady walked up to me.
“Hi. Do you know where the Canterbury store is?”
“I think its over there. Actually yes, I can see it from here. If you look, its right there.”
And suddenly, all the crap that built up during the day just went away with a small act of kindness.
I’m sucker for helping people. I can’t help but help.
